Our Story
Darren Olney has been a plumber for over 20 years, starting out at a well-known heating company before becoming a sole trader in 2014 and incorporating Above Plumbing and Heating Limited in 2016. The business has changed on paper since then, but not in how it gets its work: every job still comes from someone who already trusted Above enough to recommend it to someone else. That’s not a marketing line — it’s the only way the business has ever grown.

What Darren Does
Heating is Darren’s specialism, and where most of the work goes — boiler installations, servicing, and repairs — alongside general plumbing for smaller jobs like leaks and fittings. Above works with homeowners and landlords across Wivenhoe and the surrounding area alike, including the annual gas safety check landlords are legally required to have on every rented property.
